You Can’t Buy The Blanket That Princeling George Made His Debut In Anymore
You mommies and daddies move fast. Little Princeling George wasn’t even named when we met him two days ago. But while some people were fixated on P.O.C’s car seat, others were scouring the Internetsphere for the exact blanket he was nestled in. The former seem to have bought up every single one of those blankets, which means NONE left for Eve and I. You guys suck.
While it’s virtually no surprise that Kate Middleton‘s (pretty decently priced) maternity wear sold like hot crumpets, her son’s debut “attire” is no except it seems. The Telegraph reports:
The bird-print, 100 per cent cotton muslin swaddling wrap is by US-based company aden + anais , a brand which is available on this side of the pond in John Lewis and Selfridges, as well as online.
The cloth in question is part of a pack of four ‘jungle jam’ themed swaddles that are printed with a doodled bird, monkey, elephant and giraffe, and retails for £44.95.
“We are truly grateful and so delighted that the couple chose to debut the prince in aden + anais, it is such an honour!” aden + anais founder Raegan Moya-Jones told The Telegraph . “We wish the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge many congratulations on the birth of their son.”
A quick jaunt over to the aden + anais website reveals that the blankies are sold out and on back-order. No princely blankets for you or me. Try not to be too disappointed. Can’t wait to see what “accessories” (i.e. pacifiers, stuffed animals, bottles) Prince George chooses to pair his swaddling blanket with.
