Kim Kardashian Tearfully Recounts Her Terror During Paris Robbery

(E! Channel)

In October of last year, Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in the Paris apartment she was staying in for Fashion Week (maybe you heard about it?). In the months immediately following the robbery Kim kept an incredibly low profile, canceling public appearances and staying off social media, refusing to speak about the robbery publically. A preview for next week’s episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians shows that Kim is finally breaking her silence.

“They ask for money. I said I don’t have any money,” Kim said to her sisters in the clip. “They dragged me out to the hallway, on top of the stairs. That’s when I saw the gun like clear as day. I was kind of looking at the gun. Looking down back at the stairs.”

I’m honestly shaking even imagining this.

“And I was like, I have a split second in my mind to make this quick decision: am I gonna run down the stairs and either be shot in the back – it makes me so upset to think about it,” Kim says while sobbing. “Either they’re going to shoot me in the back, or if they don’t and I make it, if they elevator does not open in time, or the stairs are locked, then like I’m fucked. There’s no way out.”

I am a cynical chick, but Kim’s story sounds absolutely terrifying, especially when she goes on to say that she plead with the robbers, “Please, I have a family, let me live.” Honestly, thinking about myself in the same situation makes my heart pound and my eyes fill with tears. The fear she felt is palpable. Poor Kim.

Kardashian was tied up with duct tape and left on the floor in the bathroom of the apartment. The robbers made off with about $11 million worth of jewelry, including a ring worth about $4.5 million. Seventeen people were arrested in connection with the robbery, with ten being charged with armed robbery within a gang, kidnapping and criminal association.

The episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians airs this Sunday at 9pm on the E! Channel.
