Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are giving us all the content we need during these Coronavirus times. The parents-of-two hosted a wedding for two of their daughter, Luna’s stuffed animals. Chrissy sat on John’s piano wearing just a towel for his in-home concert. She also signed on to Twitter to host an online version of Chrissy’s Court, ruling on daily domestic disputes between people together in self-isolation.
Now, the former Sports Illustrated swimsuit model is responding to a fan who’s concerned that Chrissy and John — like pretty much all other iconic celebrity couples — will devastate the world with a divorce announcement. After the POPSUGAR IG reported on John Legend’s Selena Gomez cover (for the aforementioned stuffed animal wedding), a fan commented, “Popsugar, don’t you EVER DARE AGAIN post a photo of John and Chrissy and write ‘can’t believe we’re typing this…’ I THOUGHT THEY WERE BREAKING UP. MY HEART LEPT OUT MY CHEST. I CANNOT HANDLE THAT ANXIETY RIGHT NOW.”
Chrissy chimed in saying that their breakup was imminent once this pesky Coronavirus thing was over. “Oh we are also def breaking up after we can leave the house,” Chrissy commented back. After all, Bloomberg reported a surge in divorces amongst Chinese couples after they got out of Coronavirus lock-down. Some publications are already giving advice on how to “divorce-proof” your marriage during Coronavirus.
That said, we feel (pretty?) confident that Chrissy is just joking… I mean, genuinely 2020 is already going to be one of the worst years in the history books, even without our favorite celebrity couple heading to Splitsville. It doesn’t seem likely considering the fact that the couple also just spent a cool $7.7 million together on another penthouse in their building, per NY Post. Unless that’s for one of them to live in? Sorry, self-isolation is just making us all a little paranoid. There couldn’t be any trouble in paradise.
John and Chrissy got married in September 2013, after almost two years being engaged and close to six years together as a couple. Their two children, Luna and Miles, are three-years-old and one-year-old, respectively. They’re #famgoals.
