Season 2 of Netflix’s ‘Queer Eye’ Expected to Premiere Later This Year
Damn, that was fast! Netflix’s Queer Eye has been a smash hit for the network, and our hearts. When the world is dark and sad, the Fab Five make it all better! The surprisingly emotional show has given us much to cheer for, like Tom and Abby rekindling their love. For those of us who binged the entire series in a matter of days, the wait for more QE seems almost unbearable. But as it turns out, we won’t have to wait long! Queer Eye season 2 is set to hit Netflix sometime later this year. Just in time for the holidays! Can someone say Christmas makeover?
We were prepared to wait at least a year for another round of our favorite makeover show. But Queer Eye season 2 is already in the works!

NO WE CANNOT BELIEVE! But we are excited.
The Hollywood Reported confirmed that Netflix has renewed Queer Eye and four other unscripted series. The streaming network has released some pretty impressive unscripted content lately, and we’re excited for more from Nailed It!, Drug Lords, Dope, and The Toys That Made Us. I am particularly excited for a second season of Nailed It!, the hilarious cake fail show. My kids and I have laughed way too hard at some of those, um, creations.
Netflix is really banking on viewers following their favorite shows into second seasons.
Netflix vice president of content Bela Bajaria says, “These series are indicative of what we’re trying to accomplish for Netflix unscripted: working with world-class producers to create the best unscripted shows on television. These series elevate the genre with innovative takes on familiar formats. They deliver immersive and nuanced stories. They elicit so many emotions from viewers, from tears of laughter to tears of joy ”” and that’s just Queer Eye.” No kidding, Bela. That’s a whole box of tissues show right there.
Queer Eye season 2 is currently in the works. While no return date has been announced yet, we can expect it later this year. Start buying Kleenex now.
