Worst People Alive Allegedly Demand Family Remove Unsightly Handicap Ramp For Disabled Teen From Their Home

If you think your neighbors are scholars in suckery, then you probably haven’t met the lovely people who live next door to Vincent and Heidi Giesegh, parents of 16-year-old Kirsten who has cerebral palsy. Apparently the handicap ramp just outside the family’s home doesn’t really gel with their neighbors’ aesthetic vision of the neighborhood and so they’re threatening legal action to get the eyesore removed.

Kktv.com reports that the ramp greatly protects their daughter when doing simple things like LEAVING HER HOME, something that able-bodied people take for granted every day:

“As she goes into her spastic modes, we could just tumble down the stairs and both of us could get massively hurt,” said Heidi Giesegh.

The Gieseghs claims that their city, Fountain, Colorado, said it was both cool to install the ramp and to widen their driveway to accommodate a handicap van. But the family’s home is reportedly a part of “a community under construction.” The neighborhood doesn’t have HOA (Homeowner’s Association) and the family is having to deal with the people next door allegedly wringing their hands about how — wait for it — “the ramp will hurt the value of their home,” otherwise known as WTF X 2000000.

Even the home’s builder has received complaints. The neighbors have refused to make comment to the press, but Kirsten’s dad says:

“It’s kind of irritating,” said Vincent Giesegh. “I mean we’re trying to do our best to assist our daughter with her daily needs to get in and out of the house.”
