Fun Fact: Disney Princesses Never Make Eye Contact With Each Other

I was at a talk recently with Peggy Orenstein, noted authority on girls issues, when she mentioned that all the Disney princesses, when pictured together, don’t acknowledge one another — they’re always looking away from one another or directly at the camera. The reason for this, Orenstein explains, is that Roy Disney, senior executive and nephew to Walt Disney, was against the mass marketing of the Disney princesses outside of their respective stories. Because Disney still wanted to capitalize on the marketing of the princess, Roy consented as long as the ladies are not aware of one another.

Now I dare you to find a single picture in which this isn’t true.
