Busy Mom’s Cooking Hacks: Stop Yelling At Your Kids In The Morning With Stupid Easy Crock Pot Breakfast Recipes

By  |

Moms, I have some very important news for you that you have probably never heard before in your life. Like for reals, this is breaking news. Did you know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day?

If you didn’t, then you’re probably busy chasing your kids around in the morning and smacking them with their shoes to force them to brush their teeth and get in the car on time—instead of making a nutritious five-course meal to start the day right. I personally spend quite a bit of time calming down screaming babies covered in diarrhea and trying to get my toddler to wake up because he’s already a very deep, late sleeper (#humblebrag).

Speaking of diarrhea, let’s eat! The only way you’re going to save your sanity in the morning as you try to hustle your kids out the door is to be both smart and lazy. To achieve this perfect, diabolical balance, you only need one secret weapon: a slow cooker.

All you have to do is load that bitch up the night before with some really basic breakfast ingredients. You can let it sim-sim-simmer all night long, and you will wake up to beautiful smells of breakfast wafting through the house to overpower the impermeable stench of diarrhea. You’ll feel like you’re being cared for by a wonderful maid or nanny whose sole purpose is to make all of your wildest dreams come true.

The even better news is that breakfast is stupid easy. Behold—the easiest, laziest crock pot breakfast recipes known to (wo)man:

1. {Crock Pot} Apple Cinnamon Granola

This one looks delicious and not too difficult. You’ll probably want to make this if you live in Colorado (kidding, my Colorado peeps!). I personally am very lazy and will probably cut out half of the spices, and it will turn out just as yum. STUPID EASY.

2. BRUNCH: Crock Pot French Toast Revisited

WARNING: This is very, very easy! It will give your kids the sugar rush they need to run out the door and act really annoying until recess.

3. Slow Cooker Breakfast Casserole

I want to eat this perfectly classic breakfast casserole, like, now. This is probably the only breakfast casserole recipe you will need because your kids will beg for it and want to eat it every day.

4. Easy Slow Cooker Breakfast Burritos (Low-Fat, Gluten-Free)

If you’re in the southern part of the US, just throw out all the other breakfast recipes and make these slow cooker breakfast burritos instead—because THAT’S HOW WE DO.

5. Slow Cooker Peach Oatmeal

If you fancy yourself fancy, you can make this super easy peach oatmeal in the crock pot, and I will forever be impressed with you.

As usual, leave me your Busy Mom crock pot breakfast hacks in the comments. I NEED TO KNOW.
