Britney Spears Wants You To Know She IS Getting Married, Thank You Very Much

There’s been a lot of chatter lately, among multiple outlets, that Britney Spears will not be walking down the aisle to her boys’ soon-to-be step dad Jason Trawick after all. Reports that “The romance is gone,” and that there is “fighting non-stop,” have some tabloids claiming that the winter wedding is off. But the mother of two claims you’re simply listening to the wrong people.

Jeff Raymond, Britney’s publicist, tells the Daily Mail that none of the aforementioned is true. Although he wouldn’t give any date or details as to when we can all anticipate the wedding photos — and her sons Jayden James and Sean Preston in hypothetical little suits — he claims that his client and Trawick are still bound for matrimony. No confirmation as to if the wedding has been simply postponed — which certainly can happen — or whether she’s keeping the date to herself. But Raymond calls the assertions made by Us Weekly and Radar Online “desperate.”

Yet given how Britney has been turning her brand around what with an anticipated white wedding and family vacation shots in Hawaii, keeping a wedding on the books, at least to the public, is definitely a good PR strategy. The mother of two could use as much wholesome family press as she can gather, as evident in that whole X Factor business. Who else would volunteer to judge that nonsense unless they definitely had a mortgage to pay and kids to feed?
