Teacher Uses The Word ‘Vagina’ In A Biology Lesson – Parents Freak
The fact that teacher Tim McDaniel explained the biology of an orgasm in a lesson on human reproduction mixed with the fact that he said “vagina” created the perfect storm. These parents will not stand for actual biological facts being taught in sex-ed class. What happened to the Stork? We don’t teach that anymore? From Missoulian.com:
According to McDaniel, four parents were offended that he explained the biology of an orgasm and included the word ”vagina” during his lesson on the human reproductive system in a tenth-grade biology course.
”I teach straight out of the textbook, I don’t include anything that the textbook doesn’t mention,” McDaniel said. ”But I give every student the option not attend this class when I teach on the reproductive system if they don’t feel comfortable with the material.”
The science teacher said he has taught Dietrich’s science classes for the past 18 years without receiving a complaint from parents or students.
The superintendent of schools says it is highly unlikely this would “end with his dismissal.” Maybe just a “letter of reprimand” from the school board. Interesting. What is that letter going to say? Shame on you for using a biological term when discussing biology. In the future, please refer to dirty lady parts by the terms Vajayjay, Hoohaa, or VeeVee. And never mention orgasm even though it is a biological imperative for reproduction. Thank you.
Has it really come to this? Now, not only are we uninterested in teaching sex education – we also don’t want students to have basic knowledge of their reproductive systems. Yes, ignorance is bliss – coated in teen pregnancies and STD’s. What a wonderful world.
Good job, parents.
