Paris Jackson And Her Brother Prince Need A Major Twitter Detox

By  |

katherine jackson custodyNote to Jackson kids: Get the the hell off of Twitter! I know I’m an old person and so maybe I don’t “get” all this over-sharing on Twitter nonsense. But still, Paris Jackson and her brother Prince need to take it down a notch. On Sunday, their 82-year-old grandmother Katherine Jackson (that would be Michael Jackson‘s mother, for those of you living under a rock) was reported missing. The poor kids couldn’t reach their grandma – aka legal guardian – for a whopping 10 days. Less than 24 hours after she was reported missing, Katherine was found; apparently she was just chilling out in Arizona and forgot to mention it to the kids. As of this morning, Katherine’s custody of her grandchildren has been suspended. Oy!

This is nothing compared to all the other drama, namely the claim by Jackson’s siblings that their brother’s estate has been mishandled. But wait, there’s more! If TMZ is to be believed, Randy Jackson, Jermaine Jackson and Janet Jackson allegedly tried to coax Paris, Prince and Blanket into a car; they say they planned to reunite the kids with their grandmother, but apparently Paris was having none of it. She refused, which led to Janet slapping the teenager and calling her a “spoiled little bitch.” (Can you feel the love or what?) On and on it goes – you can read all the juicy details here. Throughout it all, 14-year-old Paris has been tweeting away like there’s no tomorrow.

“they promised my grandmother would be home YESTERDAY . why isn’t she home ?” she wrote early this morning.

“grandma’s here! #thankyougod,” she wrote three hours later.

“5 hours of sleep last night, been awake for 23 haha goodnight everybody<33,” came next.

And finally, “time to #hibernate.”

Big brother Prince, 15, broke his (twitter) silence this morning with an extra-long tweet (pretty much a novel by twitter standards):

I would first like to start off this tweet by thanking the fans that have always stood by me and my family, my dad really appreciated your support and I still treasure it to this day. As I am sure everyone is well aware of the events that have been going on. I have been holding off on backing up my sister and her tweets avidly because I was waiting for the time to reveal my side. As long as I can remember my dad had repeatedly warned me of certain people and their ways. Although I am happy my grandma was returned, after speaking with her I realized how misguided and how badly she was lied to. I’m really angry and hurt. The following image is of a group chat I had started to several family members. This group text message I had started was replied to but they didn’t know that I could see the responses. For this whole time, they denied us contact to our grandmother. “If you continue with your lies I will continue with the truth”

-Michael Jackson Jr.

Prince, who’s real name is Michael Jackson Jr, included a July 23 screen grab of a group text message that read, “This is enough so am texting you for the simple fact that WE DEMAND TO SPEAK TO MY GRANDMA NOW!!!”

Honestly, there are no words. I feel really badly for these kids. So much drama. So much craziness. Could you imagine being 14 and 15 and having to deal with all this crap? Though someone should really tell them to lay off the twitter. Hate to say it, but it just adds fuel to the fire. Granted, they can do whatever the hell their little hearts desire but, c’mon, this whole live-tweeting business really isn’t helping matters. Urgh.
