Jill Duggar’s Husband Shares Photo That Raises Concerns Over Son’s Possible Medical Crisis
Ah the Duggar family. It seems you either love them or hate them, but either way, a lot of people seem interested in their lives. Fans have always been protective of the brood and and rally around when it looks like one of the members needs some help. One of the reasons why the Duggar family has such a large fan base””because lets be honest, they’ve done some bat crazy shit””is because they are pretty open about their life. The couples share behind their TV show photos, peeks into their real life much like the reason many of us follow anyone on social media. So, when Jill Duggar’s husband posted a series of photos on Instagram wishing his mom a happy birthday, they got concerned.
Why?
Because Derick Dillard showed some never-seen-before photos of his and Jill Duggar’s youngest son, Samuel, just after his birth.
Little Samuel, who is now 6 months old, was in the photograph in what looks like a newborn isolette, with his dad and grandma, Derick’s mom, looking over him from above. Little Samuel has an oxygen nasal cannula on and it looks like a board on his arm to keep his IV line straight.
Fans were upset by this because it’s the first they’ve seen any hint that the Counting On couple’s second child might have had some medical crisis when he was born.
Loving fans started to speculate on why the little baby was needing some extra help.
“That is a tube to suction fluid out of the lungs,” one fan wrote on the photos Jill Duggar’s husband posted. “When babies are born by C-section, the fluid does not get pushed out by contractions. It is normal to have to get this out, not a complication. Happened with both my C-section babies.”
Another added, “Omg poor Samuel, feeding tube and oxygen don’t think he was as healthy at birth as you said originally.”
A third added their two cents, giving the same bullshit Jill’s mother heard after she lost her baby, Jubilee.
“She’s now had two high-risk pregnancies and been in labor for 30+ hours before going to the hospital for emergency C-sections. That’s scary. If it were me, I would take the hint my body is giving me and stop having kids.”
RUDE.

Fans of the Duggar family knew that Jill’s birth with their second son didn’t go as planned and sure as heck didn’t sound easy. “After 40 hours of labor, he was delivered via C-section at the hospital,” the family wrote in a statement after his birth. “Thank you for your continued prayers and support!” The couple likely hoped this birth would be different after Jill struggled with a 70 hour labor with her first child two years ago, Israel.
The family hasn’t commented yet on what was exactly the struggle with Samuel after his birth, but that’s cool. Not everything has to be talked about — and we do wish Derick Dillard would shut up sometimes.
Glad little Samuel is cool though.
