It isn’t just fans and the public who are mourning the death of superstar and icon Whitney Houston. Her 18-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, was hospitalized twice this weekend following her mother’s death and the young woman’s family fears that she is suicidal.
After Whitney was pronounced dead on Saturday afternoon at the Beverly Hills Hilton, Bobbi rushed to the scene but was prevented from seeing her mother’s body. She and her father and Whitney’s Houston’s ex-husband, Bobby Brown, both reportedly got into a shouting match with police after being turned away. Whitney Houston’s cousin, Dionne Warwick was also denied access.
CBS News reports that Bobbi herself was then taken to the hospital via an ambulance that evening from the same hotel where her mother died. She was treated for anxiety and later discharged. But Whitney’s daughter was back in the hospital again yesterday morning, as TMZ reports her to be ”hysterical, exhausted and inconsolable.”
Bobbi’s family is also reportedly very concerned for her well-being and fears that she may be on the verge if taking her own life. TMZ claims that Bobbi is in need of serious help and that the family is considering rehab for the young lady.
Yesterday afternoon, the Houston family released a statement regarding Whitney’s death. Just Jared reports:
“We are devastated by the loss of our beloved Whitney. This is an unimaginable tragedy and we will miss her terribly. We appreciate the outpouring of love and support from her fans and friends. — The Houston Family.”
Bobby Brown released his own statement asking not only for his own privacy, but that of his struggling daughter:
“I am deeply saddened at the passing of my ex-wife, Whitney Houston. At this time, we ask for privacy, especially for my daughter, Bobbi Kristina. I appreciate all of the condolences that have been directed towards my family and I at this most difficult time.”
Bobbi Kristina is no doubt being hounded by the paparazzi and press while both she and her family try to make sense out of this awful tragedy. The very young woman’s every move will now come under scrutiny as she moves between the shadows of her mother’s legacy in time to come. But at this moment, Bobbi is a young girl simply grieving the loss of her mother.

Bobbi Kristina, your mom will always be in your heart. She will be looking over your shoulder. Be strong in the Lord & the power of his might. Lean on Him. When you’re feeling too weak, the Lord will carry you through. Nothing can seperate us from the love of God. Bless you, we’re praying for you.

I know what it like to lose a Mother, Father, 2 brothers and this past Thanksgiving a companion of 26 years. I am still emotional every time I walk into the house. Everyone will tell you it will get easier, but it really doesn’t. I just keep the faith and know that I will see and be with them again one day.
she just lost her mother so just give her some room we all know her mother was her rock so try to put your self in her shoes before you say any thing about her if you do not have any thing good to say do not say any thing at all.

R.I.P. whitney you will be dearly missed. Bobbi Kristina hold on tight. I don’t understand what it is like to loose a mother but I do wish you the best of luck.
I pray for all of the Houston Family may the good Lord of host be with you all in this time of your loss. Bobby Brown rightly asked for privacy from paparazzi. Bobbi (the daughter) does not need the attention right now, and the sins of Bobby (the ex) can be dealt with at a later point in time.
Turning family members away was probably a dumb thing to do. People should have every right to see that their dead loved ones are, in fact, dead, once the dead have at least something covering more embarrassing parts. I remember coming to the hospital after my grandma passed away. It was a sobering fact but I felt a need to see for myself.
Rehab? It sounds like more than anxiety, then.
It is so sad the whole family had drug addictions.
