Fashion is never without drama but the latest style scandal making headlines has nothing to do with the runway and everything to do with 11-year-old Iris, the daughter of Jude Law and his ex Sadie Frost. That’s because Iris accompanied her mom to the Vivenne Westwood show, during London Fashion Week, clad in a not-so-innocent dress adorned with phrases like “Blow Me” and “Eat Shit.”
In all fairness, the dress appears innocent enough. It’s white, with pastel-colored hearts, and it’s actually kind of sweet. But look closely and you’ll see that the messages contained in the hearts are anything but. Turns out Frost, 46, was mortified by the whole kerfuffle.
“I seem to have upset people & am shocked myself about the dress Iris wore to Vivienne Westwoods show. Iris has been bought it as a present,” she wrote on Twitter.
“I assumed it was the sayings the sweets have on the. I’m sorry for any upset it may have caused…Iris is a sweet, innocent girl,” she added.
And, finally, this: “We were enjoying a day out with my mum me @ iris and it was a lovey day.I guess the dress should be hidden till she’s older..#genuinemistake.”
I have to say, I feel badly for Frost. I actually believe her that it was an honest mistake. Sure, you’d think she might have noticed, but what can I say? She’s a mother of four and maybe, just maybe, she had other things on her mind. Is the dress appropriate for an 11-year-old girl? Of course not. But I’d hardly say it reflects Frost’s parenting style.
What I’m dying to know, however, is who exactly bought this dress for little Iris in the first place!

It seems like an innocent mistake. Whoever designed and marketed that dress for preteens should be shot though. Any grandma who forgot their cheaters that day could fall prey to this “adorable” dress! I could just see my mom buying it and being mortified when I told her what it said. I have to say though- the kid probably knew exactly what the dress said!!
I’m guessing her nanny dressed her, and mom didn’t even notice. Is that neglect?
How the Hell did she not notice the words inside the hearts on her 11 year old’s dress? Seriously? I have a 12 year old boy and I guarantee you I’d know if any of his clothes had sayings like that on them, gift or not. WTH? It’s much more likely the nanny helped her pick out her clothes that day. Also? When’s the last time you saw Sadie Frost in the media? Now she is, isn’t she? Maybe the 11 year old shouldn’t have been at London Fashion Week in the first place if there were nude models… Just a thought. 11 is a little young to be going to runway shoes is it not?
