Nancy Grace Is Right, The Will Smith CPS Investigation Is All Kinds Of Wrong
According to Radar Online, due to a photograph that was snapped and posted on Instagram, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are being investigated by child protective services. There are so many cases of actual child abuse that are real, and serious, and important that happen on this earth daily and it floors me that CPS is wasting money and resources investigating this family when so many cases of actual child abuse are basically ignored.
”The investigation was formally opened last week and is being taken very seriously by the department,” an insider told Radar. ”Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have been extremely cooperative with officials. Of course, they aren’t happy that their parenting skills are under scrutiny, but they understand.”
The source revealed, ”Social workers will also be talking separately with Willow, and they also want to talk to the young man in the picture with her as well. This won’t just be one or two visits with the family, and it will likely be an open investigation for at least a month, out of an abundance of caution.”
I felt the fact that the photograph caused so much controversy in the first place was absurd. I’m the first person who gets extremely upset over the sexualization and abuse of children. You may not agree with all of Will and Jada’s parenting choices, but they are obviously involved parents who care a lot about actual issues that affect kids, and I cannot help but agree with HLN’s Nancy Grace who is losing her mind over this whole thing:
We live in a world where atrocious and horrifying crimes are committed against children every day. Nancy sort of jumps the gun on the poor reporter Alexis who mentions that people take issue with Willow’s hair, but I can agree with how irate she is about this. Children are neglected, abused, and murdered daily and for money and manpower to be wasted on this case is totally infuriating. The fact that kids die daily due to actual child abuse and a family is investigated for a slightly questionable photograph – which technically shows nothing other than a man posing shirtless while hanging out with a fully clothed kid, shows that in this case CPS is totally in the wrong. Had Moises Arias been touching Willow in a sexual manner or had any other red flags been raised about this I could understand an investigation, but considering Jada was aware of the photograph and spoke publicly about it and stressed that nothing untoward was going on leads me to believe this is all just a big waste of time. CPS needs to focus on actual children in peril and danger, of which there are plenty in this world.
