Inspired by this depressing post on The Toast today about one HR specialist’s pain-in-the-ass unpaid maternity leave at a university, we’re curious: What was your maternity leave like? Were you given paid time off by your employer? Unpaid? Were you employed? How much time did you take off? Were you faced with a barrage of paperwork or did everything fall into place easily?
