Tina Fey Isn’t About To Let Her 7-Year-Old Become The Next Quvenzhane Wallis
Tina Fey may be a mommy of two in show business, but that doesn’t mean she’s championing her 7-year-old daughter Alice to follow suit. In fact, it means quite the opposite. Hold strong on this one, Tina.
People magazine reports that although Tina did let Alice have a cameo on 30 Rock, she’s all about “holding [her kids] back” from this “exciting life” — at least that’s how they perceive show biz to be. But after watching her mother co-host the Golden Globes with Amy Poehler, Alice “lost her mind” over Beast of the Southern Wild darling Quvenzhane Wallis. The infatuation continued during a good old fashioned Oscar viewing party at the Fey-Richmond household.
Quvenzhane’s age alone reportedly had the kid transfixed:
”There’s a 9-year-old?! There’s a 9-year-old?!” Fey, who is also mom to Penelope, 19 months, recalls her elder daughter shouting.
”Let it go. Step away,” she jokingly responded. ”I made her write out a poll so everyone who came to our Oscar party had to [vote] ”˜Should Alice be allowed to be in movies?’ And I was the only person that said ”˜No.’ I was like ”˜Unfortunately for you, I am the only vote that counts.’”
Tell it like it is. Way to shut that one down, mommy.
