Amelia Earhart. That’s the name we all know. Yet, Amelia had a little sister, Muriel, who was just as good at breaking the mold set for women. Muriel was a tomboy like Amelia. The two often rode horses together at their Kansas family home. Seeking greatness, Muriel enrolled in higher education, graduating from Radcliffe University after her marriage to a manufacturer. Muriel was a teacher for many years, was named “Citizen of the Year” by her community in Massachusetts, and wrote three books. She did all this while having two children, a boy and a girl.
