I am a lucky mom. My parents have a huge, amazing, pristine swimming pool just a few minutes away from me. Since they’ve had grandkids, they’ve even added a slide and new diving board to the set-up. It is the best summer distraction you’ve ever seen. My daughter would be thrilled to spend every day of her summer in the water, splashing around and practicing her diving.

The presence of a awesome pool that’s always available is pretty much a godsend to our summer. But that doesn’t mean that it’s without its drawbacks. I mean, the pool is great. Don’t get me wrong. But there are a few things that can start to weigh on a mother’s nerves after weeks of poolside antics.
