Sofia Vergara Confirms That She Might Be Going Surrogate Shopping

Sofia Vergara just hit the big 4-0 and she has plans to wed Nick Loeb. But in a true testament to our modern times, Sofia, who has 20-year-old son Manolo, is thinking about expanding her family with her new fiance. And for her, this means shopping around for that uber celebrity trendy surrogate.

Sofia reportedly told Cosmopolitan that she made the decision to freeze her eggs due to some health issues — and that’s around the time she suspects those surrogacy rumors started:

“Well, because I froze my eggs. I had to go to my doctor’s office a hundred million times to do injections,” Sofia told Cosmopolitan when asked about the rumours. “The [rumour] probably came from that. My doctor had told me ‘We have a small window.’ I said, ‘That’s so rude!'”

“I already have a kid, so I never thought I would need to do that. But I will have to use a surrogate, because I had thyroid cancer and lots of radiation.”

Sofia didn’t offer up any timeline as to when the surrogate hunt will commence. At present, Sofia isn’t exactly gunning it for a second child because she is “working like an animal,” she says. With her eggs on ice, she’s clearly bought the time.
