Scarlett Johansson Ruthlessly Mocked Ivanka Trump on ‘SNL’ Skit

While Ivanka Trump is anything but a politician, she is certainly in the spotlight more often since her father, Donald, took the presidency. And if you watched Saturday Night Live this past weekend, you may have caught a skit that truly captures Ivanka’s current role in her father’s administration.

The skit features Avengers star Scarlett Johansson as Ivanka, dressed in a shimmering gold gown as she glides into what one might assume is a Trump Hotel ballroom (or something to that effect). She’s quiet and coy, and all eyes are on her as she walks around the room. The voice over introduces us to Ivanka as a woman whose name is known by every man, and whose face is known by every woman. But then it continues into the punchline:

“A woman like her deserves a fragrance all her own, because she’s beautiful. She’s powerful. She’s…’Complicit.'”

The narrator continues through the audience’s laughter.

“She’s a woman who knows what she wants, and knows what she’s doing.”

The joke is certainly not lost on the countless citizens who have noted her unwavering support of her father, even after sexual assault allegations were made against him. Ivanka’s own website headline states that she is for, “Inspiring and Empowering Women.” But just like the skit brings up Ivanka’s supposed feminism and advocacy for women, we all have to wonder, “But like, how?”
