Rielle Hunter And John Edwards Are No Longer Knocking Boots

Rielle Hunter may be pushing a memoir, but don’t expect John Edwards to be joining her on that book tour. Rielle kept us up to date on she and John’s relationship status, Facebook style, confirming on GMA that the pair broke up — recently. According to Quinn‘s mother, the couple called it quits last week. The reason? The media mommy won’t remain in the shadows any longer:

”We are a family, but as of the end of last week, John Edwards and I are no longer a couple,” Hunter told ABC’s ”Good Morning America” on Tuesday.

”For me, it’s because I’m no longer interested in hiding ”” hiding our relationship, hiding, not living out in the ”” we’ve had a lot of media scrutiny, I don’t know if you noticed or not. And it’s complicated and it’s hard and it wears you down after awhile,” she added.

Between a highly publicized memoir and images of John visiting with baby Quinn over Father’s Day weekend, I’m not sure what “hiding” Rielle is referring to.The mother reportedly provided no further details regarding the breakup, adding only that “we decided together.” Rielle did express that the two have lots of co-parenting details to figure out, like perhaps who will be using Quinn for which photo ops?
