10 Reasons Why I Love My Post Baby Body

6. My feet

Like many women, my feet changed size during pregnancy and have stayed that way. But having to buy all new shoes isn’t the worst thing. It was high time for me to admit that platforms aren’t coming back in style, no matter how much more comfortable they are than actual heels.

7. My nose

I felt insecure about my nose throughout my early 20s, but after seeing it swell up like a Ball Park Frank while I was pregnant I finally realized how great my nose was. Nose, thank you for coming back to me. I’ll never take you for granted again. I promise to use Biore strips on you regularly from now on.

8. My elbows

I love my elbows because when every other part of my body was abandoning ship on me while I was pregnant, my elbows never changed. Besides asking for a little lotion and the occasional exfoliation, they never made a fuss. My elbows were and still are the only part of my body that I don’t worry about.

9. My belly button

My navel was always oddly shallow, so when I got it pierced as a teen like every other Britney Spears fan, it looked like the jewel was on my skin instead of nestled in my belly button. Post pregnancy it’s stretched out like a normal navel, not that I plan on showing it in public off any time soon.

10. My smile

No, this isn’t the part where I spew some cheesy nonsense about my smile getting more radiant with the love of motherhood. If anything, all the caffeine I guzzle to keep up with my kids has taken its toll on my (formerly) pearly whites. But I did have pregnancy gingivitis. Flossing without my sink looking like an ax murderer washed up in it is a win.
