Pregnant Mom Spoofs Expecting Giraffe in the Most Hilarious Way

If you’re one of the millions of people who’ve been watching Animal Adventure Park’s livestream of April, the pregnant giraffe that’s due to give birth any day, you’re in luck – there’s another livestream for you to obsess over. Erin Dietrich, a 39-weeks pregnant woman in South Carolina, has hilariously spoofed April’s livestream with one of her own.

“All our friends have been making fun of me and my obsession with April so we just thought, ‘Hey we should order a giraffe mask,'” explained Dietrich on Facebook. The day the mask arrived from Amazon, Dietrich and her husband went live. While her husband stifled his laughter behind the camera, Dietrich paced and stomped around her bedroom, all while wearing her giraffe mask.

The livestream was an immediate hit, and has already been viewed over 27 million times. “I did not think this many people would get a kick out of this!” wrote Dietrich on Facebook, “Clearly we live an exciting life over here in the Dietrich household.”

Besides their viral livestream videos, April the giraffe and Erin the human have something else in common. They are both expecting their fourth calf (or child, in the case of Erin). And while giraffes are pregnant for fifteen months, being 39-weeks pregnant with three children isn’t a walk in the adventure park, either.

Dietrich’s due date is March 14, but in a recent social post she shares that unlike April, she gave birth to her little “calf” early and we’re so happy for her.

“He’s here!! He is perfect, healthy and just beautiful! Our sweet Porter Lane arrived at 6:11pm tonight. 8lb 2oz and 21 1/2 inches. â¤, she writes on Facebook. “Our hearts are overflowing. Thank you so much for ALL the love and prayers! XOXO”

Now, your turn, April!
