Pregnant Duchess Kate Middleton Went To Starbucks Just Like The Rest Of Us

Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge in CambridgeThis is total proof that there are no decent coffee makers for sale for home use. Now, I know you guys want to hear about The Duchess and her baby bump, but first off, let me say that if pregnant Duchess Kate Middleton is moseying off to Starbucks to get coffee then basically, I’m screwed. I’ve been in the market for a new coffee maker for ages because I’m sick of going to Starbucks. Their coffee isn’t that great, it’s expensive, I’m sure there are political reasons why I shouldn’t go there but I’m too lazy to google those now, and they take business anyway from local coffee houses, because where I live all we have is Starbucks. I had a Nespresso machine for years, but those are expensive and I don’t feel like shelling out the cash for a new one. I have a simple Krups maker which is fine, but I sort of want to upgrade. But if Kate is going to Starbucks when she lives in London where there are amazingly cool coffee places and she has all the money so she could buy the best coffee maker on earth, and yet she still goes to Starbucks, then basically, I’m screwed. Starbucks it is.

From US Weekly:

Escorted by a security guard, the 31-year-old Duchess “looked beautiful,” an onlooker tells Us Weekly. “Her hair was done nicely and she had a scarf, lovely long coat and boots on.” Still under wraps, although Middleton is now in her second trimester? Her baby bump. “She was wrapped up warm, so I couldn’t see the bump,” the observer explains.

As the security guard waited outside with Lupo, Prince William‘s wife went inside and placed her order herself: Her decaf drink, plus a cookie. “Kate was smiling,” the observer continues, adding that she “paid with a Starbucks card, which she swiped herself.”

“She’s a regular,” a Starbucks staffer tells Us of the unassuming Duchess

So great, enjoy your cookie Kate, but this totally does not solve my coffee maker problem.
