We Give This Sappy ‘Power Of Love’ Viral Video A Reality Makeover

A new viral video that’s rumored to make everyone who watches it cry hit my newsfeed today. I have to say, it didn’t make me cry at all. It made me wonder why advertisers still feel the need to make fathers look like bumbling idiots who have absolutely no parental instincts, whatsoever.

A new father is home alone by himself (oh no!) while his wife runs to the market. Don’t ask yourself the obvious question, “if you are so paralyzed with fear at the sight of a crying child, why did you stay home alone with this baby?” The internet has no answers for you. Terrified father calls mom at the store for help, because women are the only beings who instinctively know that a crying baby wants to be picked up. A beautiful moment where we are all taught that babies don’t want to be soothed with electronics ensues:
