Aurora’s been around forever. She was the Roman goddess of dawn, hence the latinate word for it that we still use. She’s also been put on the map thanks to Disney’s sleeping princess. Alaska gives us our first Oliver of the many on this list. They’re not alone as a state nor as a popular name for a country. After all, England, Australia, and New Zealand all boast a bushel of Olivers. Oliver’s been used in the media forever. Think of Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist, the orphan who runs of his life of undertaking to petty crime on the London streets. Memorable, no?
