For Nebraska, the top five baby girl names go: Olivia, Emma, Evelyn, Charlotte, Harper. None of those names made the list in the 1950’s. Then, the top five girls names were Mary, Linda, Patricia, Susan, and Deborah. Its funny because now those women are our grandmothers, and we think of those names as being ‘old’ without being vintage and trendy. Can you imagine if the children growing up today see those names the same way we’ve brought back Ava and Olivia? Our own grandchildren may be little Lindas and Debbys. It seems an out there prediction, but by all means the name game is cyclical.
