Missouri takes us back to the routine Olivia and Liam. However, there’s really nothing routine about this state that boasts a ton of oddities. Missouri’s name itself has an interesting origin. It was named after the tribe of Sioux who called themselves the Missouri. It means “large canoes.” Though it ends in ‘si’ meaning Missouri natives pronounce it’s name Miz-urr-ah. Henry Truman was from Missouri, and after he was president both he and his wife moved back to the state to reside in his mother-in-law’s home.
