That Didn’t Last Long – Octomom Is Back On Welfare

octomom house of blues 140711It seemed like just yesterday Octomom was on her sexy feet, recording sexy, sexy dance tracks and having her children perform not-sexy, not-dancey holiday tracks, and that she would be okay and that we could all live our happy little lives without hearing about the exploits of Octomom for a while and it just seemed like yesterday, because it was kinda yesterday, as in five months ago. But now she’s back on welfare so yay! Your tax dollars are at work! From TMZ.com:

Sources close to Octo tell TMZ, Nadya Suleman signed up for welfare again this week after her October rehab bills devoured most of her savings. We’re told the mother of 14 will be getting $1,800 a month for food, $1,000 for emergency cash, as well as Medi-Cal benefits to help with mental heath and dental issues.According to sources, Octomom only plans to use the welfare money while she gets back on her feet — or on her back. TMZ broke the story … Octo went on welfare last March, but was able to get off guv assistance in July … the result of a pile of cash she scored from stripping and masturbation porn.

I suppose it’s a drag Octomom is suffering, and it is sad for her kids. But I am going to save my sadness for all of the rest of the world who is relying on government assistance and out of work and struggling to feed their families all without a fancy home. What I don’t get is if Octomom has a Bachelor of Science degree in child and adolescent development can’t she like go and maybe do something like maybe get a job? I think she has nannies anyway so it isn’t like the cost of daycare would change. Instead of performing at drag clubs and trying to think of other ways to milk her 15 minutes of fame, I think it’s time Octomom looked for work.

There are people truly struggling who need to be on welfare. There are parents out there working multiple jobs in order to feed and clothe their children. There are parents who choose not to have additional children because they simply can’t afford to. Welcome to the real world, Octomom!
