Here’s Everything Coming to Netflix in April!
Spring is here! Today is the official first day of the glorious season, and I’m ready. Although, we’re supposed to see record rainfall in my area this week, so maybe Mother Nature didn’t get the memo? I’m guessing her Google calendar got all out of whack with the time change. So, instead of heading outside this week to enjoy some fresh air, we’ll be stuck indoors. Which gives me plenty of time to plan my Netflix April 2018 viewing calendar! The streaming service revealed what’s on deck next month, and it’s looking really good.
Netflix April 2018 has plenty of original programming, movies, and shows we love.
David Letterman is back with a new episode of My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman. Jay-Z and producer Rick Rubin join the comedian for the April 6th episode.
Call the Midwife: Series 6: “Christmas Special 2017” starts streaming on April 24th. This is an excellent show, HIGHLY recommend.
Mercury 13, a Netflix original documentary that profiles the women who would’ve been some of the first U.S. astronauts lands on April 20th.

#DidYouKnow in the early 1960s a group of women were part of Lovelace's Woman in Space Program. While the Lovelace Foundation was a private organization, Dr. Lovelace was head of NASA's Special Committee on Bioastronautics. Thirteen of the 19 women tested passed the physical examination Lovelace had developed for NASA's astronaut selection process and became known as the Mercury 13. All were very skilled airplane pilots with commercial ratings. However, when Lovelace tried to set up additional tests the Navy would not allow the use of their facilities without a direct request from NASA. Despite protests and a hearing before Congress, nothing was done and the program was shut down. While these women might not have gotten to space, they did help make it possible for Sally Ride to become the first American woman in space.
