Mom Reacts To Bites During Breastfeeding In The Absolute Worst Way Possible
It’s time for me to say I CAN’T EVEN a whole mess of times because as a mom who breastfed a few babies who also insisted on gnawing on my breasts during mealtime I can’t even imagine getting so upset by it that I would have STABBED any of them. The worst thing I ever did after one of these episodes was cry and then eat too much ice cream and beg my husband to go buy me more Lansinoh. I know breastfeeding can be difficult and painful at times but I can’t even with this story. From The Mirror.UK:
An eight-month-old baby was stabbed 90 times with a pair of scissors by his mother after he bit her while she was breastfeeding him.
Little Xiao Bao is recovering in hospital after having more than 100 stitches, mostly in his face, following the attack in eastern China.
The child lives with his mother and two uncles, who make a living from recycling rubbish, in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province.
Xiao Bao was discovered by one of his uncles, lying in a pool of blood in the yard of their home, and rushed him to hospital.
The infant’s mother later confessed to stabbing her son after he bit her as she breastfed him.
Neighbors have pleaded with the local government to take the baby away, but they say they will not intervene in the case.
According to reports, local authorities said there was no confirmation the mother was suffering from a mental illness.
Um, I am so not a doctor but due to my medical expertise which includes having common sense and watching ER a few times I can pretty much make the diagnosis that any mom who would stab a baby because he bit her during breastfeeding is for sure suffering from a mental illness. Why am I not being consulted on this case as a medical expert?
