The Freaky Creature This Mom Found In Her Kids’ Tuna Will Make You Team PB&J For Life

baby-cthulhuWhen I was a kid, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches were my very favorite lunch. I would happily have eaten them every day, but I was not allowed to because my mother said they were not healthful enough. My second favorite sandwich was tuna, and after seeing the weird little creature one mom recently found in a can of tuna, I am pretty sure my kid will be eating peanut butter and jelly exclusively for the rest of her life.

According to Good Housekeeping, 28-year-old Zoe Butler was making tuna sandwiches for her kids when she saw a tiny pair of eyes staring back at her from the can. Somehow, a weird little creature was caught in there.

“I opened the top of the lid and saw a purple-y thing, a gut sack or intestine ”” then I turned it round and pushed it with a fork and saw it looking back at me”¦ It’s got like a spiny tail along the bottom,” she said.

Luckily Butler saw that weird little thing before mixing him up with mayo and feeding him to her kids. I am sure this little dude is not harmful. He’s probably a weird little crab or something and could safely be eaten without anyone being the wiser. But it’s still kind of creepy, no?

But it’s also kind of cute, when you don’t think about accidentally eating it.

Butler’s little friend was found in a can of Princess-brand tuna. The company apologized and asked her to send it back. They reportedly think it is a small crab, but I am not so sure. I do not know what this weird, spiny-tailed creature could possibly be, but my gut says it’s Baby Cthulhu. I will never again feel guilty about eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
