Baby Archie is a month old now, can you believe it?! Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are elbow-deep in baby life right now. Plus, the Duchess is trying to balance being a new mom with being a new-ish royal. It’s got to be hard to figure this baby thing out while still doing all the things you’re “supposed” to do. However, we know by now that Meghan isn’t just any royal. She’s been doing things her own way since she met Harry! As much as the royal family loves tradition, Meghan and Harry have forged their own path when it comes to parenting. Case in point: you won’t see the Duchess pushing Archie around in one of the super-fancy prams favored by the royal family. They went a bit more modern with their wheels.

The royal family has used Silver Cross prams for years. And we have to admit, they’re pretty swanky.

Silver Cross is referred to as the “Rolls Royce” of strollers. Just look at that thing! It’s fancier than our first four cars, we’re not going to lie. Royal moms have used the pram for generations. Most recently, Kate Middleton pushed wee baby Louis around in it. But can we be honest here? It looks remarkably difficult to maneuver. Like, those wheels are pretty, sure, but those things aren’t designed to move over rough terrain or take a corner on the fly. And it looks heavy AF. We could totally see hauling this out for a photo op, but as a daily-use stroller? Nah.

Meghan Markle apparently agrees with us (yes!). She has decided to go a different route with Archie’s wheels.

Archie is still rolling in style, make no mistake about it! Meghan and Harry were gifted a Bugaboo Fox by a close friend. The stroller has a bassinet for the wee babes, and transitions to a rear- and forward-facing seat. It also has amazing power steering and central suspension. Meghan has reportedly been using the Bugaboo to take Archie on walks around Frogmore Cottage, so that smooth ride is important!

Once that baby is asleep, you don’t want a wonky wheel or rock in your path to bump them awake.

Now, even though the Bugaboo isn’t some fancy-schmancy pram, it’s not exactly a bargain-basement stroller. The Bugaboo Fox starts at $1200 for the base model with bassinet, seat fabric, canopy, and frame. That’s a sweet gift.

We’ve yet to see pictures of Meghan Markle pushing Archie around in the Bugaboo. But when those hit, we hope Bugaboo is ready for flood of people clamoring for their own Duchess stroller.
