Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Are Expecting Their First Child
This week is already off to a good start after news announced early this morning started the world talking. Kensington Palace announced the news that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are expecting their first child. Of course royal fans around the world are not surprised by this news because everyone knew it would happen pretty quickly after they got married, but still, it’s a celebration for many.
The palace took to social media early Monday morning to share the official news that Meghan Markle is pregnant.
“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019,” the palace shared on Twitter on October. 15. The announcement continued saying” Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.”

It was just five months ago that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex got married at the St. George Chapel at Windsor Castle, but like we mentioned, these two have been very open about wanting to start a family pretty quickly. Prince Harry, 34, told the media when they asked about family plans that they wanted to “start a family in the near future.” And Meghan Markle was always pretty clear about this too.

The couple are currently in Australia on a tour and as the news of their pregnancy is rolled out, happy wishes are rolling in, too. According to the BBC, Meghan’s mother is “very happy about this lovely news” and she “looks forward to welcoming her first grandchild.”

The 37-year-old Duchess is due in the Spring of 2019 meaning she’s likely just finished her first trimester and is now about 3-months along. Fingers crossed she doesn’t experience the terrible hyperemesis gravidarum that her sister-in-law had to put up with, and that the media is kind to her as her pregnancy progresses.
