Man Sick Of Hearing ‘Merry Christmas’ Throws Epic Tantrum On Flight

Chicago's O'Hare Airport Hosts Air Industry's World Route ForumNot everyone is a fan of the holiday season, specifically Christmas. A man who boarded a plane at New York’s LaGuardia airport this week was escorted off after freaking out about the number of times he had been wished a “Merry Christmas” while boarding the plane. The story is trending on Facebook, because a lot of people want one more opportunity to talk about the “War On Christmas.”

The NY Post reports that it started at the gate when the man was wished a “Merry Christmas” by the gate agent checking him in to his American Airlines flight to Dallas:

The grumpy passenger, who appeared to be traveling alone, barked at the woman, ”You shouldn’t say that because not everyone celebrates Christmas.”

The agent replied, ”Well, what should I say then?”

”Don’t say, ”˜Merry Christmas!’”‰” the man shouted before brushing past her.

Once he boarded the plane, a flight attendant wished him another “Merry Christmas,” and he lost it, apparently yelling at the crew and pilot. They escorted him off the plane.

This is clearly an isolated case of a dude with anger management problems who probably shouldn’t be leaving the house on a holiday he despises so much, because someone is bound to wish him a “Merry Christmas.” The story is circulating all over Facebook, where people are taking the anecdote as yet another war on Christmas — and using it as an excuse to talk politics, race or simply be intolerant of other religions. Shocker.

Wow. Everyone is an idiot. This man, for yelling at flight attendants when he could have just as easily ignored the greeting, and all of these people on Facebook turning it into a religious/political/race issue.

Happy Holidays!
