MAC Is Giving Out Free Lipsticks for National Lipstick Day, Run, Don’t Walk

Happy National Lipstick Day indeed. Makeup giant MAC is giving away free lipstick today only in celebration of National Lipstick Day. Yes, you read that correctly MAC free lipstick. And not just a little dinky sampler size either, a full sized tube but only select shades. The best part? No purchase necessary, the company announced via Twitter. So, you can walk into any MAC store in the United States (check the website for participants outside of the US) and potentially walk out with a free lipstick. I say potentially because let’s face it, there’s going to be a demand.

If Twitter is any indication, the demand is going to be high. The tweets are hilariously dramatic, but we all know that makeup fanatic who lives for these kind of things. And MAC lipstick isn’t exactly cheap; the tubes they’re giving away for free retail at approximately $17.

MAC fans are serious about their lipstick.

And the fact that you can get whatever color you want in full size means that you better get your butt there ASAP to make sure that they still have what you want in stock. The deal is first come, first served so once they’re out, that’s it. Sleeping out in front of the store isn’t advised, so call first thing in the morning. There are going to be lines early, and you don’t want to waste your time.

From what it looks like, there is also a chance that other MAC retailers will also be participating in the free lipstick event for National Lipstick Day, but they advise checking with the individual locations to make sure that the promo is available. And if you are unable to get to the store and take part in the National Lipstick Day festivities in person, MAC.com is also running a promo. If you spend $50 online, you get a free full size Prep+ Prime Lip. If you’re a lipstick queen, then this is definitely something that would be a good thing to have. It’s not as good as the in store promo obviously, but it’s still something. So if you want free lipstick, run, don’t walk, and get there early; they only have limited quantities!
