Every 90s Kid Is Lining up for Lisa Frank Reebok Shoes

By  |

There’s no doubt that millennials love to embrace fashions from the 90s. Flannel shirts, slap bracelets, jelly sandals, and even tattoo chokers have all made their own version of comeback in recent years. We also still have a soft spot for 90s back-to-school trends. I don’t know any 30 or 20something who wouldn’t still love a brand new Trapper Keeper. Now, two of our very favorite 90s trends have gotten together to create one new nostalgia super product and I know you’ll all dig it. Every 90s kid is definitely going to be lining up for these Lisa Frank Reebok shoes.

Yes, the Lisa Frank x Reebok Classic Leathers are just in time for back-to-school fashion fun. They are every bit as colorful and cute as you recall all your Lisa Frank folders being. In fact, it basically looks like someone used a pack of Lisa Frank stickers to collage a pair of Reeboks. There’s psychedelic smiley faces plus the iconic, multi-colored kittens, pandas, puppies, whales, tigers, and of course, unicorns.

Reebok spoke with Lisa Frank about her process in creating the unforgettable 90s brand:

“I am always aware and being influenced by the world around me,” she told Reebok.

“Often times, I am impacted by travel or by nature. When I see something beautiful or am immersed in a different culture, the creativity flows.”

We can certainly see that. Lisa Frank’s work very frequently includes things like butterflies, rainbows, and dolphins. The beauty is in how she takes creative license with color.

When Reebok approached Frank to create some Back-to-School sneakers, she jumped at the chance.

“I’ve always been a sneaker girl and I’m forever on the lookout for fun new styles,” she said, adding, “Sometimes I even make my own sneakers, adding height to a flat pair of lace ups. I used to paint my sneakers and everybody loved them!”

But wait. Before you get too excited, these gorgeous bursts of rainbow colored goodness aren’t going to be selling at your local shoe store anytime soon.

Only two pairs have been created (an adult size and a child’s size), and they’ll be given to two lucky winners that tweet their favorite back-to-school trends at @reebokclassics and @lisafrank. So hop to it and maybe you’ll get to have the flyest (and brightest) kicks yet!
