Lip swelling and bruising is a common side effect after getting lip fillers. You may love your lips’ new shape but you can do without the swelling and discomfort. Fortunately, ice can help to lower the swelling. According to the Dermatology Physicians of Connecticut, you should apply ice to your lips every hour you are awake for ten to twenty-minute intervals. You should apply the ice to your lips for at least two days. Do not apply a lot of pressure to your lips, especially on the day you got your lip fillers. After your lips heal, it should feel natural.
