Linda Evangelista Wants How Much In Monthly Child Support?

Supermodel and mother Linda Evangelista is demanding $46,000 a month in child support for her son Augustin James. Augustin’s father, Francois-Henri Pinault, also known at Salma Hayek‘s husband, is one of the wealthiest men in France and Linda seems to be well aware of that. As if the supermodel’s astronomical figure isn’t enough to make you laugh, consider then her reasoning.

Telegraph reports that Linda needs “round-the-clock nannies” and body guards for her high profile sons, specifically because of her own schedule:

“When I work, it can be a 16-hour day,” Evangelista said when questioned about her work schedule and her need for a 24-hour childcare. “On days when I do not work, I am working on my image; I have to hit the gym. I have beauty appointments. I have to work toward my next job and maintaining my image, just like an athlete.”

It’s also worth noting that despite the child being born in 2006, Francois-Henri has not financially contributed at all to his son according to Linda’s lawyer. But this figure doesn’t seem to come with an asterisk implying back due child support, and despite Linda having a demanding job, her career comparison to an athlete’s seems a bit far-fetched. Linda also requested $7,500 a month for “vacation” expenses, which the judge denied. Her request for such a high figure coupled with her shoddy reasoning reveals just how many working mothers manage 16-hour days with a a lot less to their name.
