Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp + 1â„2 tsp of Truvia® natural sweetener
1 Tbsp baking powder
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice**
1â„4 tsp salt
2 large eggs
13â„4 cup skim milk
3 Tbsp canola oil
1â„2 cup pumpkin puree
Directions:
•Assemble all ingredients.
•Combine dry ingredients in large mixing bowl.
•In separate bowl, combine eggs, milk, oil and pumpkin; mix.
•Add pumpkin mixture to dry ingredients and mix until large lumps disappear.
•Heat non-stick skillet over medium heat until a drop of water skitters around pan; Pour 1â„4cup batter for each pancake onto hot skillet.
•Cook 1 or 11â„2 minute until bubbly and turn; cook on other side until golden brown.
•Serve with a spoonful of hot applesauce or traditional maple syrup.
2. Candied Sweet Potatoes
A true holiday staple. Use this recipe with Truvia® Baking Blend for a sweet twist and with 30% fewer calories than the full-sugar version.
Ingredients:
2 lbs. sweet potatoes
3 Tbsp of butter
1â„2 cup Truvia® Baking Blend
1â„2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1â„2 tsp molasses
Directions:
•Preheat oven to 350° F.
•Peel and cut sweet potatoes into 1″ cubes, place in a baking dish.
•Brown butter in a saucepan. Use low to medium heat while stirring to avoid burning.
•Turn off heat; add Truvia® Baking Blend, pumpkin pie spice and molasses to browned butter. Stir until combined.
•Add evenly on top of potatoes.
•Bake covered for 1 hour, stir.
•Bake uncovered for another 10-20 minutes until potatoes are tender.
3. Gingerbread Cookies
A childhood classic. Indulge in familiar flavors of cinnamon, molasses and cloves with 13% fewer calories and 50% less sugar than the full-sugar version!
Ingredients:
1â„4 cup Truvia® Baking Blend
1â„2 cup butter
11â„4 tsp ground ginger
11â„2 tsp ground cinnamon
1â„4 tsp ground cloves
1â„4 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1â„4 cup molasses
1 egg yolk
2 cups all-purpose flour
Directions:
•Preheat oven to 350° F.
•In a large mixing bowl, mix together Truvia® Baking Blend, butter, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, salt and baking soda until combined.
•Add the molasses and egg yolk and mix well. Gradually add flour and mix until blended.
•Split the dough in half and wrap in plastic wrap.
•On a floured surface, roll out half of the dough 1â„4 inch thick, then cut with cookie cutter.
•Place cutouts on cookie sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes.
•Allow to cool 5 minutes on pan, then place cookies on a wire rack to cool completely.
4. Champagne Julep
The holidays are a time to celebrate with friends and family. This pop and twist on the traditional Mint Julep does not disappoint.
Ingredients:
1 3â„4 tsp Truvia® natural sweetener*
6 large mint leaves
2 oz. bourbon
2 oz. champagne
2 dashes orange bitters
A bunch of fresh mint springs
Directions:
•In a julep cup, muddle: Truvia® natural sweetener, mint leaves and bourbon.
•Half-fill with crushed ice, stir until the cup is frosted.
•Continue to pack ice into cup until mounded over rim, add: champagne and orange bitters.
5. Pecan Pie
A holiday feast isn’t complete without a pecan pie. Try a lighter twist on this nutty classic dessert with Truvia® natural sweetener!
Ingredients:
1 unbaked pie shell, 9″
1â„2 cup dark corn syrup
1â„4 cup + 2 tsp Truvia® natural sweetener spoonable
1â„2 cup quick oats
1â„4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1â„4 tsp salt
2 large eggs, beaten
3â„4 cup pecans
1â„2 tsp vanilla extract
2 Tbsp water
1 tsp molasses
Directions:
•Assemble all ingredients; preheat oven to 350° F.
•In a medium mixing bowl, combine corn syrup, TruvÃa® natural sweetener, oats, melted butter, salt, beaten eggs, pecans, vanilla, water and molasses.
•Pour into a prepared unbaked pie shell.
•Bake for 45–50 minutes until set.
•For a crisper bottom crust, preheat a cookie sheet in the oven before placing unbaked pie on sheet to bake.
•Allow pie to rest on a cooling rack for an hour before slicing.
