8 Easy Last-Minute Holiday Classroom Treats For Slacker Parents

Hi, my name is Maria and I suck at being a room-mom. I just realized that tomorrow is my kid’s last day of preschool and I need to whip up some cute snacks, STAT. How did the fact that Christmas is next week manage to escape me? I have not purchases a single gift either, but that’s a whole other topic.

Are you like me — a big failure when it comes to this kind of stuff? I’ll be your guide. The Halloween treats I made for his class went over swimmingly, and those were totally last-minute, too. Here are a few easy treats in case you need to put something together. Thank god there are awesome bloggers who are actually good at this stuff. I’ve borrowed their recipes.

1. String Cheese Snowmen!

Tessa from Tales From Outside The Classroom shared these on her blog. How cute and easy is this? Some sharpies and a package of string cheese and you’re done.

2. Marshmallow Snowmen!

Julie from Happy Home Fairy made these. Looks like pretzels, Oreos, marshmallows and maybe some frosting. I can pull these off. So can you. Visit her blog for directions.

3. Snowman Popcorn Cups!

Amy from Creative Kids Snacks put this adorable treat together. Plastic cups, some ribbon, popcorn and a sharpie – voila!

4. Reindeer Hot Cocoa Bags!

Stephanie at Somewhat Simple put these together. The only downside to these is that you’ll need to get to a craft store today. But I’ve decided all parents should have googly-eyes and pipe cleaner in their arsenal for last minute things like this.

5. Grinch Fruit Kabobs!
