Lady Gaga Proves Housewives Are Totally Cool By Throwing A Mess of Real Ones In Her Latest Video

Say what thou wilt about the Gaga, but the lady sure can create a pretty spectacular music video. You guys get to share in the coolness of all of this, because she threw in a mess of your television BFF’s into the mix, in the form of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills. Minus Brandi Glanville, who is nowhere to be seen in the almost eight minute long music video for G.U.Y. The rest of the hausfraus are included, Kyle Richards, her child star sister Kim Richards, Lisa Vanderpump and her little dog too, Yolanda Foster  and Carlton Gebbia. And from the heavens we see Andy Cohen as either some sort of angel or maybe even depicting God. No explanation yet as to why Brandi didn’t get to join in the fun.

I’m absolutely gaga for their cute little pink Stepford Wives dresses. I see so many different little homages in this thing, from the Come Rain, Come Shine Tord Boontje-esque floral headpiece Gaga wears in the beginning :

To the entire vibe of the whole video, which is basically Matthew Barney‘s Cremaster Cycle interpreted by the Haus Of Gaga. But I know you guys were thinking the exact same thing.

We also see her pay homage to Gandhi, Michael Jackson and Legos. 

I do love Gaga. I love everything she does in regard to her anti-bullying efforts, and how ambitious all of her music videos and her art direction is, and it’s certainly interesting that we have a pop star who is so invested in art and style, as opposed to like the monotony of so much pop music these days. But I am a bit dismayed she went with real housewives as opposed to like, real-real housewives, because we all could have totally helped her out with this music video. Sigh, maybe next time.
