Kristen Bell Proves She’s Just Like Us With This Awesome Parenting Hack

If you have kids, you’ve likely used a few parenting hacks in an effort to help make the entire ordeal of raising children a little bit easier. Recently, actress Kristen Bell shared a simple yet effective parenting hack with her Instagram followers, and it has moms and dads everywhere throwing their hands in the air and shouting “Hallelujah!” As a mom of two, 2 year old Delta and 4 year old Lincoln, Kristen knows the stress of trying to load or unload kids into the car when you’ve got your hands full.

So to keep her kids safe and not darting out into the parking lot, she has a phrase she uses: “Hands on the circle!”, which her kids know to mean to place their hands on the gas cap while mom is otherwise indisposed.

Kristen credits her sister-in-law with coming up with this awesome idea, and says it has kept her little ones safe while she loads or unloads the trunk. Her followers have responded with everything from praise to gratitude for sharing her easy method, with some saying they use similar phrases with their own kids, like the commenter who tells her kids “hands on the cart” while she finishes up what she’s doing. So simple! So uncomplicated! So doing this after our Target run tomorrow!

Kristen is no stranger to sharing parenting advice and other hacks she uses to simplify her role as mom. Just last month, she posted a picture of her daughter Delta wearing a Macguyver’d diaper on a plane, with the caption “Quick fix for a broken pull up when you’re on an airplane? Hair tie. BOOM. Next question.”

She’s also open to taking parenting advice, saying, “I am a parent that actually loves to hear advice from other mothers. I don’t care if your filter is judgmental or altruistic ”” I still want to hear it because it may be valuable to me.” Parenting is no joke, and Kristen understands that we can use all the help we can get.
