The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are currently on a royal tour of Poland and Germany along with their adorable kiddos, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. As the Duke and Duchess met dignitaries and pressed the flesh, their adoring fans hung on every word the pair uttered. So when the Duchess made an off-hand joke about having another baby, the comment was immediately broadcast around the world. Kate really ought to know better by now.
The quip came while the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were meeting with business leaders in Poland. One of them, Julia Sielicka-Jastrzebska, is the co-founder of the Whisbear company, which makes whispering bears designed to help infants go to sleep. That sounds creepy. Anyway, when Sielicka-Jastrzebska offered the Royals some Whisbears, the Duchess joked, ”We will just have to have more babies.”
Cue the sound of dozens of British tabloids printing, “Kate Middleton is Pregnant!” headlines.
Speculation about the Royal couple’s plans for more children overshadowed the other, far more important things the Cambridges did in Poland. On Tuesday, the Duke and Duchess visited the Stutthof concentration camp. After touring the camp, where they viewed exhibits that illustrated the horrible conditions prisoners lived in, they met with survivors.

But you know, who cares about that when we can talk about the contents of Kate’s uterus!
If the couple decides to have another baby, it certainly won’t be because they were offered a free teddy bear. With Kate’s health concerns (she suffered through Hyperemesis Gravidarum with both of her pregnancies), and the couple’s growing work load, they have a lot to consider.
Not that anything like logic or common sense will stop the presses.
