K Middy’s Mat Leave Is All Orange-Blossom Scented Cashmere And Homemade Smoothies

It’s good to be the duchess. Despite having the whole of the universe inspecting her “post-baby body” on a simple grocery run, Kate Middleton is having a truly luxurious maternity leave. No round the clock mani/pedis or in-house royal diaper changer, but a pure postpartum bliss does seem to be happening over at the Middleton house.

Vanity Fairy reports that in the weeks since Prince George has been born, K Middy and Prince William have been enjoying living with the in-laws in their very own private wing. An adjacent bedroom has been converted into a nursery. And all the while, Kate has her parents, Carole and Michael, performing “round-the-clock help” plus smoothie duty:

…during the early weeks, George slept in the same room as the parents, in a Moses basket by Kate’s side of the bed. Each morning, Carole whipped up nourishing fruit smoothies and healthy meals while Kate also snacked on her favorite muesli bars. Though Carole insisted on keeping visitors to a minimum, Pippa and James dropped in regularly to see the baby, while Kate’s closest friends sent cashmere sleep suits and blankets for George, along with Kate’s favorite Jo Malone orange–blossom-scented candles (the same she gave out at her baby shower, perhaps?) and bath oil.

So, essentially this:

Luxurious, and yet not exactly diamond facials, you know? Obtainable for mere mortals, even.
