John Stamos Expecting First Child With Fiancee Caitlin McHugh

John Stamos and Caitlin McHugh are having a baby! Yes, the Full House heartthrob is finally filling up his own house with babies.

The 54-year-old actor and his new fiancee first shocked everyone when they announced their engagement last month. But now, fans will be cheering as everyone’s favorite, and devilishly handsome, TV uncle starts his own family.

”That’s always been my plan. It’s just taken me a lot longer than I anticipated,” Stamos told ET shortly after he announced his engagement to McHugh. ”It would be a tragedy if I didn’t have children and I finally found the right woman the perfect woman.”

Those of us that have had a crush on Stamos for years find it a little tragic that we never got the chance to steal the star’s heart for ourselves. However, we are also thrilled that he is finally starting a family of his own.

John Stamos and Caitlin McHugh have been dating since 2016. In October, Stamos popped the question at Disneyland.

With a little help from some friends at Disney, Stamos showed a video of some of the most romantic scenes from Disney and Pixar films. The adorable video ended with Sebastian, from Disney’s The Little Mermaid, telling Stamos to just ”ask the girl.”

”I asked”¦ she said yes! ”¦ And we lived happily ever after,” Stamos captioned a drawing of their engagement.

While Stamos is a Disney fan, he admits that perhaps the two have had enough of Disney after their extravagant proposal. However, that doesn’t mean that Disney won’t make an appearance at their nuptials.

As it turns out, McHugh is a big fan of the franchise. Of course, like any groom to be, Stamos has told his future wife that she gets whatever she wants for their wedding.

The two have both been married before, but neither have children. So, this will be a great new experience for both of them. And while Stamos is sad that his parents can’t be around to rejoice with him and his future wife, he knows that they would approve.

”I know my parents are smiling down. I know they would love her,” he told ET. ”She’s a gentle, kind, graceful soul who would be a good mother.”
