Jennifer Lawrence Says Her Family Won’t Let Her Become A Flaming Ego-Tripping ‘A**Hole’

Jennifer Lawrence Vanity Fair Oscar PartyJennifer Lawrence may be part of the hot young 20-something cohort, but she maintains that she certainly doesn’t act like it. In a page from the fairly standard “grounded celeb profile,” J.Law maintains that she won’t exactly be buying Ferraris and wrapping them around trees anytime soon. Admirable life goals for a 22-year-old in the public eye.

The Oscar-toting Jennifer tells UK’s Fabulous (as if being featured in magazine with that title isn’t an insta-ego boost) that she feels “so lucky” and not “cocky” with regard to her fame. She finds the $6 dollar price tag on a Snickers a little too rich for her blood, thank you very much — and she traces it all back to mom and dad:

“I was raised to have value for money, to have respect for money, even though you have a lot of it.”…“I still drive my same car I’ve been driving for a long time and I haven’t bought a house yet,” Lawrence admits. She adds, “My family is not the kind of family that would ever let me turn into an a**hole or anything like that, so I am fortunate to have them.”

Anything to keep you from going the way of the Lohan, J.Law. We’re all rooting for you.
