J. Crew’s Jenna Lyons Leaving Husband For A Woman, But Who Gets Custody Of Beckett?

Jenna Lyons, nicknamed the “commander-in-chic” of J.Crew, has been with the company since the 1990s. The creative director became even better known however this past spring when she posed for a J.Crew ad in which she painted her son Beckett‘s toenails pink. The advertisement in which Jenna held her son’s pink-painted feet caused a ton of ridiculous press as some conservative outlets accused Jenna of confusing her son about his gender simply for using pink polish.

But the mind behind J.Crew is back in the headlines today for not another inflammatory advertisement, but because of her marriage. The 42 year old is reportedly leaving her husband of nearly 10 years for a woman who also works in the fashion industry — and it’s messy.

Vincent Mazeau, Jenna’s husband, apparently wants the home the couple share in the city and considerable sum of money because he was a stay-at-home dad. Jenna however has a different story, saying that she supported him financially and purchased him a studio so that he didn’t have to “work.” Whoa there.

But while Jenna and her hubby are pointing fingers about who earned more and who contributed to the family in what ways, I’m more concerned about little 5-year-old Beckett. The couple are allegedly finalizing the custody arrangement of the little boy as well as settling who gets what property.  While I hope the kid isn’t taking the divorce too hard, I imagine all of this change is causing more of an impact on him than getting his toes painted pink.

UPDATE: Jenna’s new girlfriend has been identified.
