Alleged Pedophile State Rep Will Serve Harsher Penalties Thanks To The Pedophile Bill He Sponsored
A representative for the city of Elgin in North Illinois is now facing federal child pornography charges after using a fake email to distribute and trade child pornography on both his personal and office computers.
Rep. Keith Farnham stepped down from his post suddenly last month, claiming that he was experiencing health issues, saying, according to My Fox Chicago, that:
”I have been battling serious health issues for a number of years, and the coming months will require my full attention. The right thing to do for the people of the 43rd District is to make sure they have a dedicated, qualified and full-time advocate in our communities and in the State Capitol to represent their needs and concerns every day without distraction or interruption.”
Given that his departure coincided with the seizure of his home and office computers last month, it is looking more and more unlikely that his health issues were to blame. Instead, Farnham is headed to court today to answer charges that allege that he used at least one state computer and a state-issued email to share explicit videos, some featuring children as young as six months.
He also claimed in an online chat room, that he had molested a 6-year-old girl, the complaint goes on to say. Unfortunately for Farnham, one of the chat room users was a federal agent with whom Farnham offered to share more videos and explicit pictures. The agent also got a front row seat to Farnham’s alleged preferences:
”12 is about as old as i can handle…i love them at 6 7 8”
Here is a very disturbed man, trusted by his constituents to do a job, instead used a state-issued computer and email to distribute child pornography, if the allegations are true. Of course, that’s in addition to the sick stuff he is accused of sending and sharing from his home computer under a fake name.
All child porn is incredibly disgusting, obviously, but there is added gravity to this when you discard the blanket term of “kiddie porn” and realize that we are talking about videos of a three month old infant and at least one 3-year-old toddler whom, the complaint alleges, “could be heard crying.”
It makes me shudder. There is one bright spot in this dark affair, though. Ironically, Farnham co-sponsored bills in the Illinois legislature that allows for harsher punishment of pedophiles, child pornographers, and the people who consume child porn themselves, and one of them was signed into law. So, thanks to his own efforts, Farnham could be looking at 10 years in prison for this.
I hope he rots.
