Hunter Releases Mary Poppins Collection Of Wellies, Backpacks, Umbrellas, And More
Some of us live in places where wellies are unnecessary (cough, Southern California, cough). Does that stop us from wearing them? Why no, no it doesn’t. When you’re pounded with unrelenting sunshine 90% of the year, you bust out your rubber rain boots at the first sign of a heavy morning mist. We love wellies, and we’re not ashamed to admit it. We ALSO happen to love all things Disney. Perhaps … uncomfortably so. Oh, Disney collaborated with a brand that sells items we don’t need? WHERE CAN WE BUY THEM? Such is our state of mind at the moment, after perusing the Hunter Mary Poppins collection.
Hunter boots are, if you’re unfamiliar, top-notch wellies. They make a bunch of other stuff, but the boots are what they’re known for. We lost our minds (and some monies) when they teamed up with Target earlier this year. But nothing compares to how much we love this new Disney collection. If you’ve been counting down the days until the new Mary Poppins movie comes out (and who hasn’t), and you’ve also got a thing for expensive rubber boots, you’re going to want to see these.
The Hunter Mary Poppins collection has it all: wellies, backpacks, umbrellas, and even a Poppins-esque handbag.
Now, it’s sort of hard to see from the photos, but the print is what makes these boots and bags so dang cute. Sometimes you want something that’s Disney-ish, but not in your face about it, you know? If you look closely, you can see Mary’s silhouette, printed with colorful silhouettes of kites and chimneys. So cute, right?!

The items are available now on the website, and prices are … well, about what you’d expect for Hunter. Kids boots are $85, and the adorable kids backpack sells for $70. The mini-backpacks for women are $290, boots start at $165, and the umbrella sells for $80. So not cheap, but right in line with Hunter prices for non-branded merchandise. But the best piece in the collection, in our humble opinion, is the Original Mary Bag.
Just LOOK AT THAT BAG! It’s your very own Mary Poppins bag! You can really see the silhouette here, and we love it so much. Do we $490 love it? Welllllllll, that remains to be seen. But we would absolutely rock that bag, and pull as much stuff out of it as we could, a la Mary Poppins herself.
